How your role will add to the story:

The
Manager, Digital Foundation and Customer Services is responsible for managing day-to-day service operation of Mercedes-Benz Canada's IT infrastructure services, including operation of Data Centre, network, Digital workplace and office support.

The Service operational strategic requirements should be in line with Mercedes Benz AG and NAFTA region for all MPC business.

The position occupant needs to manage and organize all activities of IT infrastructure, architecture and digital workplace products to improve the service level, strengthen foundation and elevate digital experience.


A day in the life

IT Infrastructure Operation and Digital Experience (50%)

  • Responsible for IT infrastructure management including service delivery and service operation of data center, server, network, digital workplace, office automation and support, telecommunication, mobile, etc.
  • Responsible for asset efficiency of IT infrastructure, Disaster and Recovery plan of IT Infrastructure, maintain detail knowledge of infrastructure and relations with business and vendors.
  • Responsible for setting service targets and continually tracks, analyzes, and reports on performance (i.e. efficiency, quality); monitors random incidents, records, statistics, and performance levels.
  • Continuously improve the customer experience of those digital workplace products by collecting feedback, organizing workshops and exploring every possible opportunities with Business and external partners.
  • Drive digital transformation and efficiency improvement through innovation and the implementation of technology.
  • Develop and implement effective policies, processes, and systems by closely collaborating with internal teams, identifies opportunities for continuously improving overall operational efficiency and customer experience.

Team/People Management (30%)

  • Hire, develop, evaluate, reward, and retain a highly qualified IT professionals.
  • Develop an entrepreneurial mindset to be able and obsessed to pursue possible improvement.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, transparency and accountability in IT.
  • Promote a "business value first" mentality at all levels of the IT organizations.
  • Ensure that organization has strong both traditional and digital capabilities to execute businesscritical objectives.
  • Manage daytoday operation, ensure all direct reports are in line with IT strategy, and deliver with uptodate skills.

Strategy (10%)***- Prepare and deliver input for strategic, long term IT plan in collaboration and in line with the business strategic objectives and IT infrastructure landscape vision from Mercedes-Benz AG and NAFTA region.

  • Building and maintaining senior management team relationship within the IT respective market organization and relevant IT functions in Mercedes-Benz AG and NAFTA region.
  • Develop, steer and operationalize digital workplace and foundation roadmap in fostering appropriate growth and pace with technology to streamline processes for better efficiencies.
  • Ensure, on an ongoing basis, that current and planned technical architecture, investments and solutions are aligned with company business objectives.

Financial Management (budget/actuals) (10%)

  • Financial management (budget/actuals) within the delegation of authority frame.
  • Manage and control all associated financial objectives within own responsibility and ensure that all operational budgets are achieved and further ideas for optimization derived.
  • Asses and anticipate projects and recommend appropriate action and resources.
  • Ensure planned projects within area of responsibility are delivered within agreed budget and time frame.
  • Prepare and monitor IT operational budgets that meet prevailing objectives and constraints.
