Your Mission:
The system integrator position is responsible for the programming and
integrator you will utilize design document information such as Process Narratives, Process,
and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), and electrical design schematics to:
- Outline and document control system requirements.
- Create programming and documentation for PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems.
- Perform onsite start up and commissioning.
- Provide followup and warranty support.
In this role you will:
Control system hardware and software design to integrate a wide range of industrial
equipment.
Interpretation of customer requirements, sequences of operation, project related
drawings and specifications.
Preparation of written project documentation and commissioning test plans.
Factory verification of fabricated control panels to ensure adherence to design
specifications.
Commissioning and Site Acceptance Testing of control systems to verify site
operation and acceptance.
Preparation of training materials and delivery of customer training on control
systems.
On-site and remote service of existing installed automation systems to assist
customers with problems and suggest maintenance/upgrades.
This role requires:
Post-secondary electrical or automation related training.
Min 3 years work experience in the programming of industrial control systems.
Experience with AB-Rockwell, Siemens and Schneider control equipment would be
considered an asset.
Hands-on experience with measurement and control devices, including flow meters,
variable frequency drives, motor starters, automatic valves, and process transmitters.
Networking experience with industrial communication protocols: DeviceNet,
Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, Fiber optic networks or others.
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Operating Systems, and SQL Database
knowledge.
Able to adapt to various situations quickly including changing project deadlines and
service work.
Experience in water/wastewater, manufacturing, forestry, mining, and food &
beverage industries would be considered an asset.
Availability to travel 25% of the time in Western Canada.
Willingness to learn and grow.
License/Certification:
P Eng or C.E.T. (preferred)
M License (preferred)
Valid class 5 driver's license
