- Lead day-to-day operations of the department in providing quality products and services
- Build and maintain positive relationships with guests and team members
- Provide direction and leadership toward building an ongoing positive and highly motivated team
- Administrative procedures such as scheduling and budgeting etc.
- Merchandising and inventory control
- General housekeeping and maintenance duties
- Operate cash register and other equipment as required
- Attend and actively participate in commodity, leadership, and safety meetings
- Directly responsible for team member relations, including hiring, training and development and performance management
- Provide leadership in the areas of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S)
- Contribute and lead the Team in living our Values of Integrity, Community Responsibility and Service
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Possess 1-3 years of experience in management in a retail environment, including supervisory experience.
- Retail experience in the areas of member relations, selling, OHS, ordering, receiving, and asset maintenance and management.
- A clear and solid understanding of personnel policies, practices, and procedures and other operational issues faced by the organization.
- High level of integrity and accountability
- Sound analytical thinking, planning, priorities, and execution skills
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays where necessary.
- Ability to fulfill physical job requirements including manual labour.
- Experience in retail sales especially in the CRS will be considered an asset
- Strong leadership skills that align with Riverbend's values of Integrity, Community, Responsibility and Service.
- Ability to foster a culture focused on safety, innovation, and teamwork
