THE OPPORTUNITY
Triton Environmental Consultants Ltd. ("Triton") is seeking a highly - motivated and enthusiastic individual for an
IT Support Technician position. This position will join a well-established team of environmental professionals, based in our
Vancouver, BC office.

The IT Support Technician is responsible for providing technical support to Triton staff located across multiple offices across Canada.

Under the general supervision of the IT Systems Administrator, this position provides technical support for Windows-based laptop/desktop computers, printers, copiers, and mobile IOS and Android devices.

The primary functions of this position include the imaging, setup and configuration of staff computers, providing IT help desk support to staff, and assisting in the administration of IT accounts, systems, and cloud-based network infrastructure.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Provides technical support to staff working in Windows and IOS environments (including troubleshooting, problem solving, and software installs/updates)
  • Responds to and resolves IT support tickets; escalates unresolvable support requests to the IT Systems Administrator
  • Provides imaging, setup, and configuration of company computers
  • Updates and maintains IT hardware inventory control systems and documents
  • Assists with administration of IT user accounts and systems
  • Analyzes, diagnoses, and documents problems reported by endusers
  • Creates, maintains, and documents processes, procedures, and training documents
  • Stays informed on new or emerging trends and technologies
  • Assists other IT staff to support new IT initiatives or other IT tasks as required
  • Acts as backup to other IT positions where training and experience will allow
  • Takes part in performance management and development process to set, monitor, and complete work goals, ensuring fulfilment of objectives in a timely fashion
  • Other related duties as required or assigned in this teamoriented environment.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-Secondary education preferred (College Diploma or University Degree) in a computerrelated field, or equivalent experience
  • 35 years experience providing hardware/software support and maintaining personal computers and related hardware, software, printers, and networks
  • Supportlevel knowledge in Windows 10/11 Operating Systems
  • Customer serviceoriented attitude with good problemsolving skills, excellent decisionmaking, and the ability to effectively prioritize and complete tasks
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to work well with others
  • Willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to relate to business and technical users, exercising tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to create documents in a concise, clear manner to be easily interpreted by the appropriate user
  • Ability to accept change and adapt to shifting organizational challenges and priorities
  • Selfmotivated and willing to work odd hours and overtime to complete critical tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to work independently, manage time and workload efficiently, to ensure projects are completed on time; wellorganized
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive files and materials
  • Must be able to lift 50 lb., twist, bend, and work in awkward positions

SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position, with a typical Mon - Friday work schedule, 8 hrs daily, 40 hours weekly

Overtime may be occasionally required, particularly in emergency situations, such as when systems are down or when time-sensitive tasks need to be completed.

Hybrid work schedule, up to 2 days being able to work remotely and 3 days in the office.
