Responsibilities:


OVERALL PURPOSE:


Identifies, locates, documents, records and verifies all BCRTC asset data according to defined asset data acquisition plans, processes and safety standards.

Maintains asset and maintenance data and ensures data accuracy and integrity. Provides regular status report, feedback and recommendations to the Supervisor.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Identifies, locates, documents, records and verifies all BCRTC asset data according to defined asset data acquisition plans, processes and safety standards.

by:
a. Evaluating and understanding asset data requirement, conditions and identification, including data sources, specifications, and safety standards.

b. Using data acquisition templates and data collection equipment such as handheld mobile devices to collect asset data.

c. Documenting asset data into Asset Management tools and software.

d. Conducting site visits and stakeholder meetings.

e. Compiling and reviewing records and drawings from various sources.

f. Ensuring asset data and drawings accurately reflect asset configuration and/or site condition.

g. Ensuring configuration management is being practiced; and

h. Assisting in updating and maintaining drawings, maps, reports and other Asset Management outputs as required.

Maintains asset data and maintenance data, and ensures data accuracy and integrity by:
a. Reviewing all asset data collected from various resources.

b. Conducting site visit and working closely with stakeholders and team members to verify the data.

c. Ensuring conformance to Asset Management standards and system design.

d. Maintaining maintenance data including but not limited to procedures and manuals, work instructions, checklists, failure codes, star charts, etc.

e.

Maintaining asset data including but not limited to individual records and attributes, hierarchies, categories, sub-components, condition, bill of materials, etc.

f. Maintaining defined safety information such as hazards or personal protective equipment required for specific maintenance activities.

Provides regular status report, feedback and recommendations to the Supervisor by:
a. Creating asset data acquisition status reports.

b. Providing feedback based on experience gained while utilizing the templates and following the processes.


  • Performs related duties as assigned, such as items of a minor nature that do not affect the value of the job.

Qualifications:


EDUCATION
Completion of two (2) years post-secondary education in a discipline related to Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.


EXPERIENCE
Up to 6 months co-op experience.

Recruitment Process:

An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process.

A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.
