Title:
Municipal Mechanical CAD Technologist Co-op - Mississauga


Position Summary:


Hatch is seeking a Municipal Mechanical Engineering Technologist Co-op Student with interest in mechanical engineering design and drafting for a 4-month internship.

Reporting to the Municipal Engineering Management Lead in Infrastructure you will support offices globally working from our Mississauga Head office.

Responsibilities:


  • Support project managers, project engineers and designers in the preparation of design drawings, cost estimates and other technical information for civil municipal projects
  • Assist in CAD design of municipal infrastructure including sewer, watermains and roads, and other related work
  • Coordination with other technicians and related disciplines to produce design deliverables
  • Compilation of design drawings
  • Preparing design submissions and other technical documents
  • Assistance of Senior Municipal Engineers and Designers as and when needed

Education and Experience:


  • Currently enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering Technology coop program at an accredited college
  • Strong CAD skills, and experience with AutoCAD is an asset
  • Positive team attitude and approach, results oriented and ability to work independently
