Description
Norbel Metal Service has been in business since 1967. We are a family-oriented, steel processing facility, servicing our valued customers.

At Norbel Metal we have over 120,000 sq/ft of warehouse space in Etobicoke, providing us with a central location to all of our customers across Southern Ontario.


At Norbel Metal we have two processes, a Slitter and Cut-to-Length line, which transforms large steel coils into smaller coils and sheets.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct daily inspections of Slitter or Cut-ToLength machine at the beginning of each shift
  • Assist line operators in completing machine setups
  • Use lifting equipment to move the correct material to the production line for each scheduled order
  • Operate the production line
  • Assist in packaging material according to order specifications
  • Participate in daily housekeeping to keep the work area clean and safe
  • Work in a safe manner at all times, adhering to company policies

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 12 years of manufacturing experience (Steel manufacturing is an asset)
  • Overhead Bridge Crane experience is a strong asset
  • Forklift experience is an asset
  • Must be able to read imperial/metric measuring tapes
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Be a team player and able to work well with others on the job
