Le technicien optique R&D travaille en équipe avec les ingénieurs dans le but d'aider le développement des composants fusionnés (combinateurs lasers). Il participe aussi à la formation des techniciens optiques multimodes.
- Conçoit ou modifie les différentes techniques de fabrication de nouveaux composants optiques.
- Établit et exécute les plans d'expériences nécessaires au développement des nouveaux produits.
