Description

The Service Technician is accountable for performing technical inspections, repairs, services, upgrades, and supports installations of Clarion's medical systems for our customers.

Frequently travels to customer sites within assigned territory and occasionally across Canada where required to support business and customer needs.

Works closely with internal, sales and marketing team to ensure delivery of technical services and support meet or exceed our customers' expectations.

Supports corporate culture of strong team environment through positive approach, constructive communication, focused on solutions and helping others.


The successful applicant will:


  • Responsible for performing onsite installation, servicing, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of equipment
  • Provide basic customer training for proper care and maintenance of system to ensure optimal performance and minimize down time
  • Responsible to organize travel to and from customer sites
  • Responsible for completing accurate and timely expenses following Clarion expense policy and reporting system
  • Responsible for tracking and accurately processing service parts and timely returns of defectives
  • Complete accurate reports of all service calls and or activities utilizing company software systems within 24 hours
  • Develop technical reports, documentation, SOPs, and gather technical statistical information where needed
  • Work closely with Sales, Customer Service and Field Technical Team to quickly and efficiently resolve issues for supported products
  • Support company initiatives in the area of performance metrics, policies and department plans
  • Required to work flexible hours to support the business and customer needs.
  • Bilingual (French & English)
  • Electronic Technician/Technologist diploma or equivalent
  • 25 years in related service industry or lab environment
  • Able to lift 50 lbs
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for traveling to customer sites within territory
  • Valid passport and able to travel internationally to our manufacturer's facilities for training
  • Laser experience would be an asset
  • Good problem solving, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to read schematics, troubleshoot and use electronic test equipment
  • Ability to operate under pressure of deadlines
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills ability to build excellent working relationships with internal and external customers
