We are presently accepting resumes for a permanent
full-time Site Coordinator **to be responsible for the day-to-day operation and support matters related to the Empower Simcoe Treatment Home.

This position will participate in planning for individuals receiving services through consultation and collaboration with the Manager of Clinical and Treatment services.

This position will implement treatment plans to meet the direct needs of individuals with complex care needs.


Compensation Package:


  • Work up to 84 hours biweekly;
  • Annual pay range is $76,068 to $86,59 11 paid statutory holidays;

Minimum Requirements for this position include:

  • Community College Diploma or Degree in Behavioural Sciences, Social Sciences, Human Services, Police Foundations, Developmental services or a closely related field. Preference is given to graduates of a Behavioural Science Technology degree or diploma program;
  • Registered Behavioural Technician certificate is an asset;
  • More than four (4) years recent fulltime work experience supporting hard to serve adults with complex care needs in community residential settings;
  • Experience in supporting persons through applied behaviour management techniques;
  • Experience supporting teams with the implementation of clinical and/or treatment plans in collaboration with teams, community partners and families;

Duties and Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • In conjunction with the Manager, monitoring the day-to-day caseload management of the Treatment Home; participating in goal planning for supported individuals; fostering the independence of those supported in the program and actively participating in transition planning for people supported and their families;
  • Providing direction to staff, as requested by the Manager, by assigning and prioritizing work to be completed and assisting staff with the completion of their tasks or assignments;
  • Ensuring people receiving services, employees, students, and volunteers receive a thorough orientation and ongoing support for growth and development;
  • Working with the team, determining, scheduling, attending and following up on all medical appointments for each person supported in the program;
  • Working with the team to identify and complete all rights restriction for each person, for review by the Independent Rights Committee;
  • Collaborating with the Quality and Innovation department to arrange Personal Outcome interviews within the first year of support for each person, and every three years after;
  • Conducting annual service satisfaction meetings with individuals supported;
  • Sharing with the Manager any assessment/identification of functions of behaviour for each person in order to inform discussions at multidisciplinary team meetings (internal and external members);
  • Through ongoing training, as identified/supported by the Manager, leading others effectively in crisis situations through various approved verbal deescalation and physical techniques;
  • Developing and maintaining monitoring processes for tasks related to all treatment plans, data collection/reporting, MCCSS/Accreditation's standards, and health and safety standards, ensuring all documentation is completed and accurate;
  • Preparing for and participating in compliance related to Quality Assurance Measures MCCSS yearly compliance and Accreditation Reviews;

Special factors of this position:


  • Engage in shift work, including evenings, nights, and weekends, as deemed necessary by the Manager;
  • Participate fully in the afterhours on call process specific to the Treatment Home as determined/arranged by the Manager;
  • Demonstrate the ability to respond effectively and calmly in crisis situations through various approved verbal deescalation and physical intervention techniques;
  • Position requires considerable physical interventions involving frequent bending, turning, twisting, and kneeling in response to crisis behaviour;
  • Proficient in the administration of First Aid, CPR, NVCI, and medication dispensing;
  • Possess valid Class G driver's license and own reliable transportation to be used in the course of employment.
