Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented
Superintendent to join our team The Superintendent - Earthworks (Removals) is responsible for scheduling, coordinating and supervising the work of all site operatives, specifically in relation to all earthworks removals aspects of the project, safely, on-time and within budget, managing all aspects of planning and delivery and working seamlessly with other stakeholders
.



What You'll Be Doing:


  • Participates in the preparation, organization and overall coordination of the site, specifically in relation to all aspects of concrete in meeting and completing project specifications.
  • Orders or participates in the order of equipment and materials, taking budgetary decisions with other stakeholders.
  • Together with Project Manager, works on the creation of teams, internal transfers and ensures the right people are assigned to the jobs as required and as qualified
  • Assists in the choice of specified technical options and in the definition of required equipment and materials.
  • In collaboration with the Design Offices, chooses the building methods for optimized feasibility and safety, adhering to all project requirements.
  • Represents the company professionally at all times, adhering to standards and practices and to the Code of Ethics.
  • Oversees maintenance/ general services onsite.
  • Provides direction to the Subcontractor Supervisors, organizes their work, sets objectives, checks schedules and timeframes, efficiency and quality of production, etc.
  • Ensures the resources for inspection are sufficient and works to resolve any issues.
  • Draws up the necessary subschedules for work
  • Ensures scheduling/ quality/ safety objectives are respected.
  • Ensures the execution of integrated subcontracted works or those necessary for the structure
  • Implements sitespecific procedures.
  • Liaises, in all areas, between the site and stakeholders in the MIP office.
  • Integrates and manages the constraints of other parties working onsite as well as the coactivity.
  • Ensures consistency of Health and Safety Plans regarding all external parties onsite.
  • Implements the EcoPlan for their site.
  • Continuously analyzes and suggests improvements in performance Finalizes, with the relevant management department, the works budget for milestone progress points and analyzes and explains any variances.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:


  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Business or related field and/or relevant and equivalent experience.
  • Health & Safety related training applicable to construction sites
  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive construction project management and/or site supervision experience (i.e., civil, commercial, industrial, residential, new construction projects, tenant improvements, renovation, additions). Canadian / Alberta experience preferred.
  • Proven track record in leading, uniting and directing teams on largescale construction projects.
  • Adaptability, capable of teaching and passing on knowledge.
  • Proven problemsolving skills and ability to analyze data and identify trends.
  • Previous proven experience in large scale projects earthworks removals.
