Position Overview:
Under the general direction of the Regional Managers, Nutrition & Food Services, the incumbent is responsible for providing effective and efficient administrative support to the Regional Managers and Food Services Coordinators within the region.
Duties include maintaining the Regional Managers' calendars, preparing support material for daily and special projects, and preparing and processing routine correspondence, minutes, proposals, presentations and confidential personnel and financial documents.
Oversees the day-to-day office administrative functions for Nutrition & Foods Services.Organizes and maintains administrative and Human Resources functions for the Regional Managers including payroll submission, position control and assisting with the recruitment process.
Experience:
- Five years previous experience in an administrative support position required.
- Experience in a large hospital organization desirable.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate):
- Complete high school education, Manitoba Standards, required.
- Formal training in applied office skills required.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Typing 65 wpm required.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint required.
- Basic accounting skills required for budget maintenance and the interpretation of financial reports.
- Demonstrated ability to organize, assign and supervise the work of junior employees.
- Must have excellent decisionmaking skills, judgment, initiative and the ability to coordinate work flow and develop effective methods of efficiency.
- Must be well organized and able to establish priorities to meet deadlines and adjust priorities to reflect changing requirements.
- Must be able to function with limited guidance or supervision maintaining a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to set up spreadsheets and databases required.
Physical Requirements:
- Use of personal computer.
