Summary:

Better Living Health & Community Services has an opening part-time time position of _Meals on Wheels Driver_.

The Meals on Wheels Driver works from 11:30 am-1:30 pm, Monday to Friday and is responsible for delivering hot meals or frozen meals to isolated seniors living independently in the community.

The Meals on Wheels Driver reports to the _Supervisor, Meals on Wheels._

A current valid G-Class driver's license and clean driver's abstract
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance, including daily safety checks
Must have a vehicle in reliable condition
Must have an interest in and commitment to helping seniors and disabled
To provide reliable and timely meal delivery to clients in the community.
To work cooperatively with a volunteer "runner" to verify appropriate meals are delivered to assigned clients in the community.
To act as both driver and runner when required.
Accurately follow outlined route sheet guidelines and instructions.
To serve as a link between the clients and the agency.
To report all changes in client or environmental conditions to _Meals on Wheel Manager_ immediately upon return from the delivery route.
To conduct daily vehicle safety checks when driving a company vehicle.
