- 1. Providing Personal Support Services to Assisted Living Services Clients
- Assisting with daily living activities like bathing, toileting, medication, dressing, grooming, and dental care
- Supporting with incontinence products and measures when needed
- Assisting with transfers, meal prep, and emergency responses
- 2. Documenting Services and Reporting Concerns
- Updating manager on client's condition changes and service requirements
- Documenting concerns related to services, client's well-being, or safety hazards
- Identifying and reporting safety issues promptly
- 3. Providing Administrative Support
- Coordinating team schedules when necessary
- Offering administrative assistance as required
- Personal Support Worker Certificate
- Valid First Aid and CPR certifications
- Prior experience with frail or cognitively impaired seniors in a healthcare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to assist seniors with mobility
- Proficient in clear and concise English client notes
- Second language proficiency is a bonus
- Physician's medical assessment required (TB test form provided)
- Evening and overnight shift availability needed
- Vulnerable Sector screening mandatory
- Full COVID-19 Vaccination or Medical Exemption Certificate necessary

What to Expect when Joining SPLC:
Position: Personal Support Worker - Assisted Living Services (Evening and Night Shifts)
Hours of Work: Variable based on client demand
Reports to: Assisted Living Manager
Deadline: Until position is filled
Position Summary:
The Personal Support Worker's role is to provide personal support services to Assisted Living clients at SPLC Assisted Living Services sites to enhance clients' independence and maintain a safe living environment.
