Casual Food Services/Housekeeping Aide

Pay Scale:
$18.15 to $23.10 per hour

Location:
Meadowlark Lodge, Street NW, Edmonton, AB, T5R 5X9

Schedule:

There are no regularly scheduled shifts as a casual employee; however, a variety of shifts are available that can be accepted or declined based on your availability.

Currently looking for individuals with the following availability:

12:00am to 8:00am, Monday to Friday, with weekend availability

Typical Duties:

This position will rotate between housekeeping and kitchen duties.

Food Services:

food preparation, baking, portioning and labeling food, cleaning kitchen areas, dining areas, and equipment, dishwashing, preparing meals, beverages, sandwiches, salads and snacks, peeling and chopping vegetables and other site-specific duties as assigned.

Housekeeping Aide:

Cleaning common areas, dining room and kitchen, disinfecting, floor care, laundry and restocking supply areas, dealing with resident issues as required, and other site-specific duties as assigned.

Responding to emergencies as needed.

Experience/Education Preferences:

Strong English communication skills are required, both written and verbal
Experience in the area(s) of cleaning, food preparation, serving meals, baking, or cooking is an asset
Experience as a server in a dining room is preferred

Other Requirements:

Strong customer service skills including the ability to interact with everyone in a respectful manner
Ability to read and follow standard recipes and work in a sanitary manner
Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team
Strong interpersonal skills with a positive people focus
Ability to demonstrate responsible judgement in problem solving

The successful applicant will be required to undergo a criminal records check and be fully vaccinated against Covid-19
