We're looking for an experienced
3D Animation Supervisor to join our _Charlotte's Web _crew


You'll be joining a vibrant entertainment company known for creating, developing and producing some of the world's most recognizable and beloved children's properties including the smash hit _PAW Patrol_, Mattel's_ Ever After High_, and its own line up of successful originals _True and the Rainbow Kingdom_, _Pikwik Pack_, _Justin Time_ and its newest original comedy-adventure_ Big Blue _with CBC Kids.

The company is currently producing _Mecha Builders, the_ first Sesame Street animated spin-off for HBO Max.

Guru Studio also contributed visual development on the Academy Award nominated animated feature _The Breadwinner_, which brought the rich 'story world' sequences to life.

Position Outline:

With a primary focus on animation quality, the Animation Supervisor assigns and manages the animation work across the team.

In accordance with the vision of the Series Director and Animation Director, the Animation Supervisor ensures the team has all the resources needed to achieve that to a high quality animation standard.


Responsibilities:


  • Attend production launch meetings and cite any animation concerns
  • Meet with the Director(s) regularly to understand the vision and overall direction for the project
  • Communicate that vision to the animation team, and supervise the animation process
  • Direct and coordinate, in tandem with production, day to day animation and rev assignments, assigning shots and revs to artists based on priority
  • Keeping the animation a consistent quality as per the director's expectations, while delivering on schedule
  • Check in with the Animation coordinator and leads to remain aware of where each Animator is within their assignments
  • Communicating regularly between all production departments to make sure all animation needs are met in preproduction, production AND post production.
  • Direct and coordinate animation fixes and enhancements as per instructed by the Director. Interpret and address any notes or concerns from Clients and Studio Heads.

Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 8 years animation experience producing quality work with highend 3D animation softwares (Maya).
  • High level and extensive experience as an animator
  • Excellent Communication and problem solving skills, specifically concerning communications with Clients/Managers/Directors and other teams within the studio
  • Leadership experience in a team environment
  • Ability to clearly articulate abstract concepts (i.e. animation principles, design sensibilities)
  • Experience producing high quality animation, at or above the level required by the production.
  • Excellent planning and time management skills.
  • Deadline motivated.
  • Critical thinking skills.
