- Supporting contaminated sites in Western and Northern Canada
- Thorough understanding of Alberta regulatory frameworks is required; experience with other regulatory frameworks (CCME, SK, MB, BC, NWT) is an asset.
- Working with GIS and databases
- Responsibility also includes regulatory communication and mentoring/supervision of junior staff. Candidates should have a strong sense of self-motivation toward assigned projects with proven ability as a team player.
- Parsons will give candidates the flexibility to work between office and remote locations.
- Conceptual site model and data gap analysis
- Risk assessment
- Salt contamination tools
- Tier 2 site-specific guideline modification
- Groundwater analytical and numerical models
- Remedial technologies/options evaluation
- Soil vapour intrusion
- 4-year degree in a scientific discipline.
- 5+ years of related work experience,
- Direct/specialized experience in one or more of the disciplines listed would be considered an asset.
- Proficiency in various software applications typically used with the assigned discipline.
- Requires a demonstrated proficiency in both written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Eligibility for registration in, or maintaining a good standing in, a professional organization.
- Master's degree or higher would be considered a bonus but is not necessary.
