Job description
MatchBox Consulting Group is searching for a Back-End Developer (C#) (6-month contract role) for our client in the Finance industry.
The office is in Downtown Vancouver and the role requires the person to work on-site in the office Monday to Thursday and then remote on Friday.
Role And ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into backend technical designs and solutions.
Design and build secure, scalable, and data-driven backend services and APIs.
Ensure solutions meet standards for performance, reliability, testability, and maintainability.
Use AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
Communicate progress and issues clearly with Business Analysts and Project Managers.
Develop using C# .NET, SQL/NoSQL databases, and Azure cloud technologies.
Skills And Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience with strong object-oriented programming skills.
3–5 years of professional experience developing C# .NET applications.
Strong experience with SQL Server/T-SQL and database-driven systems.
Familiarity with cloud development (preferably Azure) and RESTful APIs.
Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
Experience with React and Agile/Kanban environments is a plus.
