Information Technology and GIS is looking for a creative, highly motivated self-starter to fill our Manager, Solution Delivery position.

We are seeking a professional IT Manager who is interested in working in a project-based environment and welcomes the challenge of improving processes, managing multiple priorities and successfully delivering projects.

Qualifications:

Essential:


  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered
  • Experience leading a team of project managers, technical staff and business analysts including internal staff and outsourced consultants in delivery of a wide range of ICT and business improvement projects
  • Experience in business consultancy, strategic and tactical business and technology planning and account/relationship management
  • Knowledge and experience with ICT delivery framework and systems development life cycle
  • Knowledge of web, data technologies and multisystem data integrations, business intelligence tools and techniques, and web services protocols such as SOAP, REST API, and JSON
  • Knowledge of the SharePoint platform, including one or more of the following: SharePoint onpremises, SharePoint Online, Office 365, Power Platform
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills

  • Project Management Professional designation (PMP)

Duties:


The Manager leads the Solution Delivery unit which has primary responsibility for the delivery of innovative technology solutions leveraging agile project delivery methodologies.

The Manager, Solution Delivery leads project managers, technical and business analysts engaged in the design and implementation of business process improvment and technical solutions.

The Manager is part of a team of ITGIS Managers and is accountable for developing and delivering the Department's Information Communications Technology (ICT) Plan related to their area of specialization.

A client-centric focus is key in liaising with MTI business area clients, stakeholders and executive management, to establish priorities, manage risks, and provide advice and recommendations to facilitate the planning, management and execution of business and information technology initiatives.
