Job Description:


Responsible for troubleshooting of automation equipment including various robotic and CNC machines within the facility, while following Safety, Quality and Environmental systems.

Also, responsible for the maintenance of ISO/IATF 16949 systems with respect to fixture and tool maintenance, set up control, and process inputs auditing, as well as assistance in machine set-up and problem resolution with respect to process control issues in the manufacturing environment.

Troubleshooting and assisting with maintaining process controls within the operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Under general supervision, responsible for complex operations and duties in production.
Track equipment performance and adjust set-ups, calibrations, and alignments. Call other specialists when serious problems occur.

  • Track data associated with production equipment. Report any inconsistencies.
  • May assist with training other production technicians in order to crosstrain workers
  • Setup equipment
  • Write and/or modify CNC programs for lathes, milling machines, and grinders
  • Set up CNC lathes, milling machines, grinders, SPM's based on process specifications.
  • Set up, and maintain automated cells including robots, conveyor, sensors and cylinders.
  • Analyze "out of tolerance" conditions and make adjustments via offsets.
  • Read and interpret CMM reports.
  • Set up and maintain adjustable support tools (fixturing)
  • Predict tool wear and tool changes based on SPC data
  • Identify, select and prepare tooling
  • Process and tooling improvements for cost reduction programs i.e. analyze tool wear and modify programs to improve tooling cost.
  • Work in compliance with Stackpole FPS Quality Systems, Safety Systems & Environmental Systems

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A technical degree\diploma in engineering technology or technologist program, or appropriate combination of education & relevant work experience
  • Certified to automotive systems and quality requirements based on ISO/IATF 16949 Operating Systems
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
