    Job Title: Bookkeeper

    Job Type: Permanent; full time

    We are looking for a bookkeeper to join our team.

    Job duties

    • Responsible for recording financial transactions such as sales, purchases, and payments made by the company.
    • Prepare financial reports for the accountant such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, which provide a snapshot of the company's financial health and performance.
    • Manage the company's general ledger, which is the main record of all financial transactions made by the company.
    • Ensure that the company is compliant with all tax laws and regulations, and that all tax payments and filings are made on time.
    • Assist with budgeting and forecasting, which involves estimating the company's future financial performance and planning for future expenses and investments.
    • Responsible for entering financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets accurately and efficiently.
    • Manage the company's accounts payable, which includes reviewing invoices, verifying purchase orders, and ensuring that payments are made on time.
    • Manage the company's accounts receivable, which includes tracking customer payments, reconciling accounts, and following up on overdue payments.
    • Responsible for reconciling bank statements and credit card statements to ensure that all transactions are accurately recorded.
    • Conduct other jobs assigned by upper management.

    Requirements:

    • Post-secondary education or above in finance, math, accounting, or related field, or previous experience in a similar bookkeeping role is required
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
    • Detail oriented, and ability to produce work with a high level of accuracy
    • Demonstrate job commitment, accountability, and reliability.
    • Have a strong work ethic and are committed to your team, and can collaborate with and assist other colleagues;;
    • Fluent in English.
