About the Job:
We are looking for an inspired Employee Relations Specialist to join our human resources department.

The Employee Relations Specialist reports directly to the Director, People, and Culture, and is responsible for developing and implementing employee relations programs and initiatives that support employee relationships from hiring to departure.

You will also provide support and expertise to managers in the area of employee relations and participate in recruitment and hiring, compensation and benefits programs, communicating Human Resources policies and procedures, conducting exit interviews and analyzing employee data, and making recommendations with respect to employee relations programs.


The Employee Relations Specialist provides supervision, support, and direction to other HR staff, and improves the overall effectiveness of the organization by providing human resource management policies and frameworks, and a variety of human resource services, products, and programs.

The Employee Relations Specialist will also be required to resolve employee relations issues for costly and/or precedent-setting contentious matters and significant policy proposals.

Provides specialist support services to organization managers and staff to promote effective employer/employee relations and to support achieving excellence in the organization.

Functions effectively in a challenging environment where mediation/negotiation skills are tested daily and where decisions impact the organization's relationship with its employees.


About You:

Qualifications:


You have a bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a similar relevant field or the equivalent combination of relevant skill-based training and work experience.

A CPHR designation is a bonus.

Demonstrated ability to interact with co-workers in a friendly, outgoing & respectful manner, superior attention to detail' ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment, as well as demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.

  • Covid19 & Annual Flu Vaccination are required, unless with validated exemption
