About The Renaissance:

The Renaissance is a boutique retirement residence which provides independent living for 75+-year-old seniors.

The monthly rent for one and two-bedroom suites include chef-prepared meals in a very comfortable, formal dining room with linen table cloth and professional table service by the waitstaff.

The close relationship between staff and the residents is what sets The Renaissance apart coupled with a superb dining experience.


Position Summary:

Assure a high standard of appearance, hospitality, service, and cleanliness of the dining room. Take residents' orders and serve them throughout the dinner service.


Position Characteristics:


  • Maintain a high level of contact with the residents throughout service hours
  • Ensure that each dinner service is performed to the high standards that are expected by residents and management
  • As a dining room server and an employee of the Renaissance, a positive and caring attitude is a must. Keeping a clean and organized environment is required as it ensures an expedited and efficient delivery of service. Being able to multitask and make wellthoughtout decisions is an asset.

Job Duties:


  • Preparing the dining room prior to resident arrival, pouring ice water & juices.
  • Placing condiments and checking salt and peppers. Straightening silverware, napkins and china.
  • Welcoming residents upon their arrival
  • Taking residents orders for either soup or salad and their choice of main course entrée
  • While serving the starter and the entrée, the server will also ensure that the busser has served the bread of the day and residents choice of tea or coffee
  • Offering at the end of the meal the featured dessert or one of several alternatives
  • Once the residents have left, the dining room is completely cleaned and reset for the following day
  • Plans dining room setup based on anticipated guest and resident counts

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Must be able to speak, read, and write in English
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Punctual and reliable
We are looking to fill 2-4 X 3:15PM-7:15PM shifts
