Our expectations:


Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Coach (Supervisor) is responsible for ensuring that multiple equipment types within the central region covering DCs & DDC are fully operational.

The role involves regular site visits to all 3 distribution centers near Milton & also a weekly visit to our DDC in martin grove.


The incumbent supervises a high performing team that is capable of analyzing, troubleshooting, and repairing broken equipment, as well as performing preventive maintenance tasks.

The Maintenance Coach works with the Maintenance Manager and contractors to coordinate new construction and facilities repair work, all while ensuring that it is completed in compliance with federal and local regulations.


This position is scheduled for Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30PM, with flexibility required to work outside these hours for business needs.


Your role:


  • Execute the planned tasks which include coordination with contractors (weekends/afterhours included ).
  • Work in conjunction with maintenance planner to achieve or exceed key performance indicators, safety, performance and budget targets.
  • Fix equipment breakdowns to minimize impact to distribution center performance
  • Prioritize work in accordance with business priorities: Sorter Preventative Maintenance (PM) requests and repairs, and projects with highest priorities
  • Monitor staffing needs for shift and adjust work to be accomplished on the shift according to available resources and skill sets; assign mechanics to jobs and supervise their work
  • Complete scheduled tasks
  • Implement projects by due date
  • Maintain skill level of team in multiple crafts, such as, electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, automotive, welding, etc.
  • Perform work in a safe manner
  • Governing 100% of PMs as scheduled by end of shift
  • Teach leadership by example; build team spirit and engagement
  • Monitor team attitudes; resolve team conflicts as soon as practicable
  • Mentor team members; prepare Senior Mechanic for Coach role
  • Provide team access to training to strengthen weak or missing skills
  • Train team to use 7i system (CMMS)
  • Complete and enter maintenance documentation in 7i system
  • Conduct shift briefing, including safety topics
  • Prepare shift turn over documentation

The qualifications we are looking for:


_ Qualification Standards:
_


  • Proven record for complying with safety requirements, and ability to build a culture of safety among subordinates and peers
  • If required by local regulations, certifications for performing supervisory electrical work in an industrial facility (Red Seal Millwright / Electrician, etc.)
  • If required by local regulations, certifications needed for performing supervisory new construction or building repairs to an industrial facility
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience;
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Can make solid decisions quickly based on limited information.
  • Experience managing time and budgets
  • Demonstrated teambuilding skills
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with others
  • Experience and willingness to mentor and coach others
  • Experience with repairing/maintaining some of the following types of systems or equipment:
o Conveyors

o Electro-pneumatic PLC controlled systems with photo eye detectors

o Electrical systems, 600V or less

o Hydraulic and pneumatic systems, docks

o Forklifts, reach trucks, floor sweepers, yard trucks

o Automotive systems

o HVAC

o Basic Plumbing

o Fabrication and Welding

o Analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex problems; creative problem-solving

  • Communicates effectively
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and various technical drawings
  • Highly motivated to the team's success as well as own success
  • At least 4 years demonstrated increasing responsibilities in a maintenance organization
