Your Impact:


In this role, you will assist the Construction Manager with coordinating and administering the day-to-day activities with multiple construction projects, ensuring that all necessary documentation is prepared, maintained and submitted, while maintaining the appropriate level of communication with clients and internal project teams.


How you will contribute to the team:

  • Communicate daily with Project Managers and Field/Site Inspectors on project progress.
  • Assist and prepare appropriate site documentation, payment certificates, and log books, conforming to each project's specific needs.
  • Maintain necessary document control and participate in appropriate QA/QC processes.
  • Attend preconstruction and progress site meetings, complete and issue minutes of meetings.
  • Prepare construction change orders, notices and assist in resolving claims.
  • Prepare cost estimates for securities, including takeoffs and updating a costing database.
  • Prepare tender documents, and support Contract Administrators with bid closings, issuing of addenda and recommendations to clients.
  • Prepare security reductions and final project close out documentation.
  • Undertake site inspections as required, interpreting contracts, and ensuring compliance with contract terms and the requirements of the scope of work
    , client requirements and maintain site logs.
  • Liaise with contractors and municipality engineering employees to ensure construction complies with approved drawings and assist in resolving problems and discrepancies.
  • Act as an ambassador and respond to public enquires.
  • Embrace safety and maintain a healthy and safe workplace and ensure compliance with all applicable codes and legislation, including occupational health and safety, WHMIS and hazardous substances programs.
  • Establish and maintain positive and effective working relations with all members of the project delivery team.

What you bring:


  • Civil Engineering Technologist graduate from a related college or university program.
  • C.E.T. certification with OACETT or P.Eng. designation with PEO considered an asset
  • Minimum five (5) years' experience of relevant civil construction inspection and exposure to contract administration.
  • Previous work experience in civil construction inspections in the land development industry.
  • Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of contract drawings, tender documents, design, and construction standards.
  • Sound knowledge of construction laws and regulations, including the Construction Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, multitasking, and communication skills for interaction and correspondence with clients, colleagues, contractors, consultants, and team.
  • Effective analytical and decisionmaking skills, with commitment to excellence and highquality work.
  • Valid "G" driver's license in good standing and access to a reliable vehicle for commute to project locations.
