In conjunction with the Director and Physician Leader of the mental health care ambulatory and outreach services at St. Joseph's Health Care, you will provide dynamic leadership to the Geriatric Ambulatory, Outreach and Health Services.


This position provides administrative leadership to the interdisciplinary team and is responsible for quality outcomes within a tertiary level service.


This position oversees day to day operations:
staffing, scheduling, budgeting, performance management and conflict resolution.

As a highly engaged proactive champion of best evidenced practice, you will be leading change within the context of a unionized environment to enhance tertiary ambulatory and outreach service delivery.

You will forge collaborative relationships with internal and external partners including care partners throughout the Southwestern Ontario region to enhance client recovery and integration into the community.


Essential Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Degree in a healthrelated discipline
  • Active member status in a relevant professional College
  • Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
  • Ability and commitment to act as a supervisor under OHSA
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with team members, clients, family members and other stakeholders
  • Excellent skills in conflict resolution
  • Strong staffing and budgeting experience
  • Clinical leadership, facilitation, coaching, holding others accountable and team development skills to ensure quality clientcentered patient care within a learning environment
  • Experience with leading change
  • Strong administrative and problemsolving skills to plan, organize and evaluate the daytoday operations of the program
  • Previous leadership experience in a unionized environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency in French would be an asset
  • Evidence of specialized education/training/experience in psychosocial rehabilitation
  • A certificate in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing for applicants with a nursing background
  • Minimum of three years previous experience in leadership

  • St. Joseph's Health Care London through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee of St. Joseph's you will be expected to engage in role related teaching and research activities in addition to any of your clinical duties

Immunization Requirements

  • Provide documentation you have received two doses of the COVID19 vaccine (primary series, boosters and/or XBB) OR one dose of XBB vaccine at least 14 days prior to the start date.
  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
