Role Summary


Chubb Canada is currently looking for a motivated, customer focused Supply Chain Administrator for our Mississauga office who will be directly responsible for procuring parts and services and ensuring they are available for sales to support growth and profitability of the company.

The individual is required to deliver forecast and demand requirements, track spending activity, select suppliers and monitor their ability to maintain delivery, quality and price commitments.

This is a key role with an emphasis on developing analytical tools, key performance indicators (KPI's), root cause analysis and process improvements in procurement.

This individual is also expected to work cross-functionally to ensure the right actions are in place to achieve performance.


Key Job Responsibilities

  • Negotiate and create purchase orders with approved suppliers for parts and services.
  • Report to management status and progress of procurement and escalate issues in timely and informed manner when needed.
  • Track purchase spend, analyze supplier performance in cost, quality and delivery and drive suppliers towards higher performance levels.
  • Establish strategies to improve supply chain, resolve shortages and strengthen relationships with suppliers.
  • Work closely with sales, product marketing, finance, and operations support to ensure projected results can be tracked to the Business Plan.
  • Incorporate New Product Introduction, phase in/phase out plans, standard versus nonstandard products and SKU rationalization into forecasts and purchase plan.
  • Monitor and assess market conditions and trends and recommend strategy changes for procurement and inventory management.
  • Drive initiatives to ensure the business is leveraging technology and leading business practices in the areas of demand planning, forecasting, inventory management and procurement.
  • Participate in the companywide programs and learn practices; promote continuous improvement and advance team knowledge and performance.
  • Ensure procurement policy, best practices, compliance and code of ethics are followed.

Educational /Technical Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in Supply Chain related to procurement, forecasting, demand analysis and reporting, inventory management.
  • Understanding of ERP systems; experience with JDE purchasing and inventory modules will be a strong asset
  • Advanced user in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • SCMA, PMAC or CPIM certification is preferred.
