    About the role
    Join the Information & Technology (IT) Risk and Compliance team as a Specialist in IT Risk. In this position, you will analyze data to assess risk levels, ensure alignment with CMHC's operations and technology, review Audit's findings, and recommend actions to address any identified gaps. You will also promote a culture of risk awareness, providing training in risk management practices.

    What you'll do:

    • Create action plans for upcoming activities, oversight, audit findings, and gaps, monitoring progress against plans.
    • Execute tasks such as risk assessments, control testing, security assessments, and compliance analysis.
    • Review oversight and audit reports, provide risk management expertise, and contribute to enhancing business systems and processes.
    • Assist in implementing risk-based processes within CMHC's Risk Management Framework.
    • Research best practices and emerging risks to recommend improvements to current risk policies and procedures.
    • Collaborate with other functions on risk management activities.

    What you should have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Minimum five (5) years of experience in Risk and/or Audit.
    • Experience in governance assessment, control review, and risk management.
    • Knowledge in risk domains such as Audit, Compliance, Cybersecurity, and Business continuity.
    • Understanding of operational risk management frameworks and internal controls.
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

    It would be great if you also had:

    • Professional designation in CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CGEIT, CPA, CIA, or relevant certification.
    • Experience in financial institutions or insurance industries.
    • Bilingualism in English and French.
