D U T I E S
Reporting to the Associate Dean, Business, Hospitality and Culinary Arts, the Administrative
Assistant is the first point of contact for external and internal stakeholders, and professionally
performs a wide-range of responsibilities to ensure the effective and efficient support of the
academic department.
Duties of the position also include, but are not limited to:
supporting the
delivery of academic programming, supporting management and personnel, onboarding of new
personnel, managing events and meetings, and performing administrative duties such as tracking
attendance, ordering supplies, meeting reporting deadlines, preparing correspondence and
tracking of expenditures.
- R E Q U I R E D Q U A L I F I C A T I O N S
- Post secondary certificate, diploma or degree in Office Administration, Hospitality,
experience may be considered
- Significant experience providing administrative support and performing office administrative
- Experience with financialmanagement responsibilities including facilitating purchases, tracking
- Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and provide documentation for events and meetings
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and perform duties with tact and diplomacy
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Effective organizational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- and projects effectively
- Effective problem solving and decisionmaking skills
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to draft, proofread, and edit
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and collaboratively within a team
- environment
- Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning

- Experience in Project Management
- Experience drafting content, monitoring and creating Social Media posts
- Experience supporting recruitment, hiring and onboarding of employees

- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
- This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends
- This position may be required to work overtime
- This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer
- months
- May be required to work at various RRC campuses
