- Based on member consultations and the accepted best practices, design personalized wellness coach programs for clients based on client goals
- Motivate and inspire clients to attain goals related to exercise, nutrition and stress
- Proactively recruit members as wellness coaching clients
- Maintain effective communication with clients and YMCA staff
- Respond to members inquiries regarding programs and or equipment promptly
- Schedule appointments for self and other staff on the fitness floor
- Accurately track all sessions conducted with clients
- Build relationships with members and guests, and promote the YMCA as a charitable organization
- Possession of an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD)
- College diploma or University degree in health, wellness and fitness field.
- WHMIS Certification
- YMCA Wellness Coach (or equivalent) in good standing
- Minimum of three (3) months of assisting clients through health and wellness fitness plans to attain personal goals
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and a strong team player
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Solid knowledge of community resources
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR C
- Current and satisfactory Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector

We are currently looking for a Wellness Coach to join our team of committed professionals. This part-time position within the Association is housed at the YMCA of Northeastern Ontario's Durham location in Sudbury .
Under the leadership of the Supervisor of Health & Wellness, the Wellness Coach provides direct one-on-one health and wellness assessment, program development along with wellness coaching. The wellness coach will advise on health improvement strategies, and coaches individuals on setting and achieving health goals. The wellness coach will keep clients motivated and on track to overcome challenges, and ensure clients are knowledgeable, safe and comfortable.
START DATE: As soon as possible
LOCATION: Sudbury, ON
RATE OF PAY: $16.55 per hour
