    L and D Designer/Developer III

    • Start: ASAP
    • Estimated length: 4 months
    • Location: Toronto
    • HYBRID role
    Ability to be on-site up to 3 days a week ( MANDATORY )

    Responsibilities

    • Supports a highly complex learning project to deliver timely, high quality, consistent, learning
    solutions that positively impact business metrics

    • Ability to synthesize, simplify and communicate complex information and theoretical concepts
    while applying clear language principles

    • Effectively collaborates with multiple stakeholders at all levels
    • Works directly with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to capture content-specific knowledge
    • Designs and develops engaging, interactive blended learning solutions ensuring learning and
    performance objectives are met

    • Ensures learning solutions align to company's brand, learner accessibility and principles of
    diversity and inclusion, leveraging established standards and guidelines and achieve success
    criteria while managing scope, risks and stakeholder engagement, and problem resolution

    • Leverages best in class common practices, processes and measures across the
    design/development function

    • Provides deep subject matter expertise in learning and performance consulting, including
    knowledge of external best practices and emerging trends; maintains best practices in
    instructional design and development and program evaluation and measurement

    • Provides design and development thought leadership and/or industry knowledge and
    participates in knowledge transfer within the team

    • Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
    • Protects the interests of the organization – identify and manage risks, and escalate non-standard activities/concerns as necessary
    • Maintains a culture of risk management and control
    Qualifications

    MUST HAVE:

    • 5+ years' experience as an Instructional Designer and Developer
    • Working experience designing and developing learning solutions on an Agile Team
    • Demonstrated ability to design and develop in iterations
    • Educational background in Instructional Design / Adult Learning Certificate
    • Advanced design skills in creating high quality, fully accessible learning deliverables in all
    modalities (i.e. instructor led - classroom & virtual materials; and self-led learning, etc.)

    • Instructional Design and Development experience supporting the financial industry on complex,
    fast-paced projects

    NICE TO HAVE:

    • Advanced skills developing eLearning and simulations using the Articulate 360 suite of products
    • Skills developing videos using a variety of products (Adobe suite, Camtasia, Vyond, etc.)
    • Experience creating learning content supporting the nCino system
    • Working experience writing and updating stories (work) JIRA
