    Description

    Trader Corporation is the team responsible for Canadas top automotive marketplace, focusing on cutting-edge solutions for our users and dealers.

    We are currently seeking a Senior Database Developer to join our expanding team.

    • Design and create sophisticated database solutions covering technical analysis, data architecture, testing, and integration.
    • Conduct thorough code reviews, emphasizing clean data structures for easy maintenance and scalability.
    • Perform root cause analysis on issues, collaborate with support teams for solutions, and optimize query performance through index tuning.
    • Manage SQL database administration tasks such as security, backups, and replication.
    • Ensure continuous integration and deployment for data applications, maintaining synchronized environments.

    Key requirements for this role include:

    • Extensive knowledge of SQL Server, Azure SQL, and data analysis techniques.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft products like Azure Blog/Table storage, DocumentDB, and Azure Data Factory.
    • Familiarity with SQL tools such as SSRS & SSIS and experience in XML-based data design.
    • Hands-on experience with high-traffic websites and databases, focusing on performance, security, and monitoring.
    • Ability to deliver non-relational data solutions when needed and effectively communicate technical concepts to team members and stakeholders.
    • Collaboration with Traders architecture group to implement software based on specifications.
    • Background in creating unit, component, and integration tests, with some exposure to C# development and SOLID principles.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, with 5+ years of experience in online software industry and expertise in data design and scaled architectures.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft database development.
