With a detail-oriented mindset, you'll find success in a technical and regulated environment. Your ability to analyze and interpret complex data and your knowledge of natural gas systems make you a great fit for our system capacity planning engineer.
Through the evaluation of pipeline system capacity, the successful candidate will assess low-carbon energy supplies, business and project development opportunities, pipeline maintenance, operational support, pipeline emergency management, and facility application development and regulatory support.

    In this role, you will:

    • Learn and use group-specific systems, software, processes and acquire necessary training and establish a development plan for future training needs.
    • Gain introductory knowledge of ongoing facility applications and the regulatory framework as well as strong understanding of our service areas, customer base, and offerings.
    • Support a wider variety of operational inquiries in multiple transmission systems.
    • Participate in the regulatory process by providing input to applications or information requests.

    What it takes:

    • A bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution, plus one to four years of recent and relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience in hydraulic modelling of gas distribution and transmission systems would be considered an asset.
    • Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer with Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention-to-detail.
    • Exceptional analytical thinking skills to interpret complex data across a variety of units of measure.
    • A demonstrated aptitude for computer systems, data processing and specialized software.

Our engaging workplace offers a wide range of challenging opportunities, while being safe, inclusive and diverse. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, while supporting life-long career development. We also encourage volunteerism and nourish the need to give back to your community.
