RMP supports the effective and timely delivery of CPB Journey initiatives and keeps the Bank safe by: 1) ensuring the early identification of risks, controls and mitigation plans to quickly and iteratively deploy initiatives/products with the necessary controls, and 2) facilitating consistent and streamlined interactions with Journey leadership, delivery teams, and risk partners.


Job Description:


  • Participate in Process Tailoring and facilitate the completion of key delivery artifacts including required risk assessments (CRA, PIA, DIA, SOX)
  • Facilitate timely sign offs from Risk & Control partners on requirements, processes and/or other artifacts, as required, to support implementation of initiatives/products and associated changes
  • Support the successful delivery of Journey Features and mínimal viable products (MVPs) by providing timely risk & control guidance with appropriate business context to achieve desired business goals
  • Attend podlevel TD Scaled Agile ceremonies to support requirements elaboration and story grooming
  • Review, assess, and risk tag stories for further follow up where oversight is required
  • Ensure development meets acceptance criteria and expectations by reviewing/approving test results as required
  • Leverage risk & control SME knowledge to support Product Owners in pursuing innovative solutions, engaging Risk & Control Partners when required
  • Support and/or lead discussions with Risk & Control Partners about potential solutions to issues identified and respond to oversight and challenge
  • Ensure issues and risks are properly captured, documented, and managed within the RAID log
  • Distill and report on issues and themes within the Pod or Product Group that merit attention from Risk & Control Partners or Journey Leadership
  • Participate in project delivery activities in alignment with the Risk Marketplace Playbook
  • Partner with other members of the RMP team to assess business and regulatory risk
  • Maintain awareness of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements
  • Maintain awareness of other Bank initiatives which may impact the approach being contemplated on supported projects from a control perspective

Requirements:


  • Understanding of compliance, privacy, antimoney laundering, or operational risk domains and/or broad understanding of other risk areas including fraud, technology, legal, credit risk, etc.
  • Understanding of risk assessment processes and methods and TD's three lines of defense model
  • Leadership and influencing skills with the ability to advocate for decisions
  • Ability to question and challenge status quo
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Detailoriented with the ability to follow up on items or determine appropriate steps for timely escalation and/or resolution

Qualifications, Skills, Education, and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a 1B or 2A governance and control function is preferred
  • Sound knowledge in project delivery methodologies, including TD Scaled Agile
  • Problem solver and conceptual thinker, with ability to see big picture/think outside the box
  • Comfortable navigating a space that is not well defined, ambiguous and complex at times
  • Strong communicator with an ability to clearly articulate the business issue, supporting facts, and rationale/business value for recommended solutions
  • Ability to listen to and understand opposing points of view to arrive at appropriate conclusions
