Overview
We are currently seeking a
Student Support Specialist.

Reporting to the
Director, Marketing and Recruitment, as a Student Support Specialist at Robertson Global, your role is crucial in facilitating a positive and informed experience for prospective and current students.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prospective Student Engagement and Support_
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for prospective students, offering personalized guidance and support throughout their decisionmaking process.
  • Conduct informative campus tours, both virtually and inperson, showcasing our institution's facilities and resources.
  • Provide detailed information about our programs, admission requirements, financial aid options, and campus life.
  • Organize and participate in information sessions, webinars, and open house events to showcase our programs and campus.
  • Collaborate with the admissions and new students team to ensure a seamless transition for admitted students, offering support during enrollment and orientation.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions with prospective students in our CRM system.
  • Ensure quick response times, committing to getting back to students within 48 business hours or less.
  • Student Outreach and Recruitment_
  • Develop and execute outreach strategies to identify and engage potential future students.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications teams to create engaging promotional materials and campaigns targeted at prospective students.
  • Attend recruitment events, college fairs, high schools, and community events to promote our institution effectively.
  • Build and maintain relationships with high school counsellors, community organizations, educational partners, and recruitment partners to expand our reach.
  • Analyze enrollment data to identify trends and provide recommendations for improving recruitment strategies. Create and disseminate reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development of recruitment materials and resources.
  • Work closely with academic departments to stay informed about program updates and changes.
  • Student Advisory and Support_
  • Provide academic and career counselling to prospective students, helping them align their goals with our programs.
  • Assist students in exploring their financial aid options, scholarships, funding, and payment plan opportunities.
  • Offer guidance on course selection, prerequisites, and academic planning.
  • Connect students with resources, support services, and extracurricular opportunities to enhance their college experience.
  • Conduct followups with prospective students to address any questions or concerns, providing ongoing support throughout the recruitment process.
  • Collaborate with new student services departments to ensure a holistic support system for students.

Qualifications

  • Previous sales experience is an asset.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a dedication to delivering an exceptional student experience.
  • Proactive individuals who can work independently and find solutions.
  • Ability to connect with and inspire prospective students and their families.
  • Knowledge of higher education admissions processes and policies.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and other relevant software.
  • Experience in student recruitment, admissions, or educational counselling is a plus.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for recruitment events.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.
