About the role

E.B. Horsman & Son is growing EBH's HR department is seeking a passionate, detail oriented, forward thinking Talent Acquisition

An expert at sourcing techniques and demonstrated ability to build a strong talent pipeline for the company's current and future hiring

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible to develop and implement a long-term talent acquisition strategy to source, attract,
interview,hire, onboard and retain new talent to align with the company's strategic objectives, vision, core values, culture, and strategic
pillars. A strategic HR business partner that evaluates, designs, executes, measures, monitors, EBH talent acquisition strategies from
workforce planning to recruitment best practices and processes and evaluating digital systems and platforms to support our growth and
hiring needs.

What you will bring to this role:

Strategic Business Partner. A trusted business partner to Hiring Mangers and a coach/mentor to the Talent Acquistion Coordinator.


Full Cycle Recruitment. Executing full-cycle recruitment via proactive sourcing methods, through online channels, eg. Social media
platforms, LinkedIn, Indeed, professional networks; conducting organic or proactive sourcing, telephone prescreening, virtual and in-person
interviews, salary negotiations, and drafting job offer letters.


Technically Savvy. You possess a digital mindset to utilize or recommend technology for recruitment (applicant tracking system) and
process improvements. Computer skills with high proficiency in MS Office 365, Teams, Excel for designing spreadsheets and analyzing data. Advanced Powerpoint skills for creating impactful presentations and Outlook for organizing and scheduling interviews.


Talent Acquisition Strategy. Develop a talent acquisition strategy for open positions by developing job description and job postings,
prepare interview question templates, that accurately reflect each position's competencies, qualifications and requirements.


Values Teamwork. You will work closely with the HR team and collaborate with key stakeholders in developing and maintaining professional, positive customer relationships to support our internal EBH leadership and branch network with
their hiring needs. Teamwork and Collaboration is essential and vital to the success of this role.

What you bring to this role:

  • Post-secondary education, or equivalent combination of education and experience in HR or Recruitment
  • Designation or working towards completion as a Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) or Certified Recruiter is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of applicable laws, Ie. provincial employment standards (BC, AB, SK), Charter of Human Rights legislation
  • Advanced knowledge of Human Resources concepts, best practices, methods and techniques, with emphasis on talent acquisition strategies
  • Proficiency using MS Teams, ie. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, One Drive, SharePoint, HR Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). ADP WFN knowledge is a strong asset
  • Familiarity with social media, LinkedIn, and professional networks to develop and promote company brand strategy
  • Strong business acumen, verbal and written communication skills, along with presentation creation and facilitation skills
  • Possess strong organizational skills, resiliency to changing demands and managing priorities
  • Digital mindset to utilize and recommend and implement new technology for process improvements
  • Proven ability to form strategic partnerships, build relationships and respect cultural diversity
  • Reliable transportation is required
