The
Hansen's Group of Companies is seeking a well-rounded, detailed oriented and dedicated
Human Resources Generalist (ON-SITE) to join its corporate HR team in Scarborough, Ontario.

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources shall maintain an effective level of work ethics, professionalism, and commitment. This position coordinates a high volume of information while providing support to employees and leaders on related HR matters.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers for recruitment, build pipeline (job postings, conduct backchecks, prepare employment offers).
  • Manage Truck Right Applicant Tracking System as the primary job board, maintain relationships with Agencies for short turnaround hiring.
  • Support Hiring Managers with creating and maintaining accurate Job Descriptions.
  • Maintain accurate employee data and status in Truck Right for USA, HR Downloads LMS for Canada.
  • Deploy compliance elearning trainings to New Hires and various target audience.
  • Prepare and provide monthly training reports to Business Leaders from Truck Right and HR Downloads.
  • Collaborate and prepare various written human resources correspondence based on company policies and update to employee files.
  • Maintain the JHSC Training/Recertification of employees and update to employee files.
  • Conduct the monthly Health & Safety Inspections and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct annual virtual audit to ensure Notice Boards across all locations are compliant and provide updated Posters as legislation changes.
  • Provide support with coordinating various Human Resources Programs.

  • Support the department with
    Year End activities to ensure adherence to company deadlines.
  • Provide support as required in other areas of the department as directed.

Required Skills/Abilities:


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to create quality documentation.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to manage data, identify gaps and support continuous improvement.
  • Ability to abide by Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Confidentiality and maintain privacy of employee information.

Education and Experience:


  • College Diploma or degree in Human Resources Management.
  • Minimum 3 years recent of relevant experience; demonstrated experience in quality documentation, relationship building and research skills.

Work Conditions

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to nearby company locations.
