Overview:


The Ready Mix (RMX) Performance Coordinator is a central role within two paths of activity in Lafarge Western Canada (WCan).

First is the support of RMX Performance Systems, Safety, and Analytics. Secondly, it is the support of our Capital Spending Activity for Northern Alberta (NAB) operations.


This role has a blend of core monthly activities to support the team as well as other activities that are annual in scope.

Also a role blends skills and offers experiences across many disciplines within Lafarge's operations and systems.


Responsibilities:


Safety as a Culture
- this role is integral to the effective reporting of Training and Compliance for our Driver teams in WCan. Transportation Safety is growing in priority and the evolution of our reporting is critical.

  • The RMX Performance Coordinator has a heavy administrative focus on several industrial systems from key technology vendors to Lafarge, is a core role in all aspects of managing capex activity for NAB, including SAP project setup and related tasks, and is central to effective procurement activity for the team.
  • To do this effectively, this person needs to be able to identify and implement opportunities to improve our processes as well as be capable to take on tasks or objectives that are new to the team.
  • To be effective in the role, ongoing, operational relationships with supporting vendors, and internal business services teams, local Equipment Maintenance Coordinators, Financial Managers, and front line staff are a critical success factor.
  • Additional opportunities exist with this role to be able to drive improvements, present solution to more senior members, participate in strategic activities and adhoc projects with the local Finance team in NAB.

Within Ecosystems

  • Works closely with;
  • WCan RMX Production & NAB Capex Manager and WCan RMX Fleet & Driver Training Manager
  • RMX Analyst supporting reporting tools, systems
  • RM Finance Manager for Edmonton operations as well as other geographies.
  • All RMX Operations Managers, Logistics Managers, and Driver Trainers.
  • Procurement and ABS (Business Services) personnel.
  • Expected to work closely on topics that include digital systems with subscription based payables and activities regularly.
  • Works closely with team members to improve and support data entry and reporting from internal systems such as SAP.
  • Report to and works with Performance Director on other adhoc tasks.

Qualifications:

Education & Work Experience

  • Postsecondary education in Accounting or business admin.
  • Current pursuit of an accounting designation is an asset.
  • Experience in ERP systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft, Oracle is an asset
