Our client is a leading e-commerce company based in Toronto, known for specializing in trading cards. Their platform caters to enthusiasts and collectors, offering a unique blend of traditional and rare items.

As they continue to expand, they are currently in search of a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to steer their technological vision and lead their dynamic tech team.

Responsibilities:

Define and implement the company's technology strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Lead the tech team of 20, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Oversee the development and enhancement of the ecommerce platform, ensuring a seamless user experience for both buyers and sellers.
Evaluate and integrate new systems and technologies, ensuring they support the company's growth and market expansion.
Monitor and ensure the security, scalability, and stability of all tech systems and platforms.
Collaborate closely with other departments, especially marketing and operations, to drive online sales and improve the customer journey.
Stay updated on the latest industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies that can impact the ecommerce landscape.
Manage technology budgets, ensuring resources are allocated optimally.
Foster partnerships with tech providers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
Drive the recruitment, training, and retention of top tech talent.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a CTO or in a similar leadership role in the ecommerce sector.
Profound knowledge of technology landscapes, architectures, and emerging trends.
Strong understanding of the trading card industry is an advantage.
Exceptional team leadership and management skills.
Solid project management skills, with a track record of leading complex tech projects to completion.
Ability to think strategically and execute methodically in a fastpaced environment.
Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
