Description

There is a 12 month contract position available at the Whitby Mill of Atlantic Packaging for a General Labour position.


Responsibilities:


  • Cleaning within the Mill
  • Able to do repetitive lifting/bending/stretching in a hot/humid/dusty environment
  • Perform quality checks before and during runs
  • Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with health and safety and housekeeping practices, and use of personal protective equipment
  • Ability to work shifts
  • Ability to lift 3040 pounds
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements:


  • Secondary school education
  • Previous manufacturing experience an asset
  • Able to withstand cold/hot environments
  • Must be able to read and write English
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Must have good organization skills
  • Willing to work in a team environment
  • Must have basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide)
  • Is a team player and results oriented
  • Forklift license an asset
