COMPANY BACKGROUND
***This position will report to the Network and Systems Manager and is responsible for Server management and providing second-tier Help Desk Support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Installation, configuration, and support of Server hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
- The Systems Administrator is responsible for the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information such as financials; belonging to senior management, executives, board of directors; or relating to investor relations.
- Monitoring and troubleshooting network and system performance. Managing backups and disaster recovery processes.
- Administer Microsoft 365, Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange Online, Citrix DaaS, MDM (Workspace ONE), VMware vSphere systems.
- Maintain and configure collaboration tools such as video conferencing software, phone system.
- Manage Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD user accounts and permissions.
- Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect against cyber threats.
- Provide secondtier IT support and backup the Help Desk IT Support technician.
- Provide alternating afterhours support every other month for computer hardware and software for the office and shopfloor users.
- Responsible for providing IT support to Executives at Tree Island.
- Work on strategic corporate projects and initiatives.
- Creating and maintaining documentation for IT systems and procedures.
- Assisting in the supervision of the Help Desk IT Support position.
- Provide backup support for the Network and Systems Manager in managing and supporting the IT infrastructure.
- Other duties and projects as assigned by the manager.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent is required.
- MCSE, MCSA, CCNA certifications or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of working experience at installing/configuring PC based hardware and software.
- 3+ years of experience administering Windows Server and maintaining Server hardware platform.
- Handson experience in Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Veeam B&R, Citrix DaaS, VMware vSphere, Cisco routers/switches, Palo Alto firewalls.
- Personal Work Ethic. Attention to Detail. Maintain a high level of customer service.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills.
- Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
- Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment would be an asset.
