ECO349H1S Money, Banking and Financial Markets (Section LEC5101)
Course Description:
This course studies the interaction of the monetary and banking sectors with financial markets and the broader economy.
It builds especially on tools developed in intermediate macroeconomics, but also focuses on the institutional structure of the Canadian monetary sector, including the role and operation of the Bank of Canada.

Estimated TA support: 182 hours (contingent upon enrolment and funding)

Minimum qualifications:
- PhD in Economics
- Prior experience teaching this course (or a similar course) at the university level
- Ability and experience teaching large classes
Preferred qualifications:
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching over four or more years
- Experience with remote, online teaching or hybrid teaching
Description of duties:
- Preparation and delivery of lectures in this course
- Supervision of teaching assistant(s) assigned to course
- Preparation, supervision and grading of tests and examinations in accordance with University regulations
- Providing scheduled office hours for academic counseling of students
