JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Redi-Mix Dispatcher, manages and organizes deliveries on a daily basis for 25-35 drivers out of our Harley, ON location.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Accept and coordinate customer inquiries and orders
- Accurately enter new orders and changes in the dispatching software
- Schedule employees and equipment to ensure efficient delivery
- Relay work orders, messages and information to and from drivers using telephones or twoway radios
- Direct the pickup and delivery activities of Redi-Mix
- Provide accurate directions for pickup and delivery services
- Handle customer complaints
- Other activities as requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS
An effective Dispatcher must have the following:
- Concrete or Redi-mix experience, preferably in a similar field
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with an ability to work in a fastpaced environment
- Ability to resolve conflicts with the utmost respect
- Ability to tactfully and professionally deal with customers both internal and external
- Ability to motivate people
- Able to handle stress, and multi task
- Must be able to work in a selfmanaged team
- Reliable and highly motivated
- Safety conscious
- Ability to work as a team member
- Must have excellant organizational skills
- Attention to detail and accurate
- Must have own transportation
