The Role


The Change and Data Management (DM) Specialist will be responsible for the execution of all applicable data management and change management processes that fall within the area of responsibility assigned to the Configuration Management function.

This will include related activities of Technical Data Management, Records Management and Document Management required to support OSI's work.


Registration and preliminary analysis (processing) of problem reports & change requests from submission through to approval by the CCB are all in the scope of responsibility for the Change & DM Specialist.

The Change & DM Specialist will ensure the timely and effective processing and control of change.


The Change & DM Specialist will also support Change Implementation through Release Notices and Status Accounting of approved changes from approval through to implementation.

The Change & DM Specialist will audit changes before release.

Main Responsibilities

  • Document Control and Data Management.
  • Entering / uploading electronic data and documents to PDXpert PLM system including the entry and verification of associated metadata, including the entry of associated metadata.
  • Preparing data, documentation, media and technical data packages for delivery to Purchasing, Tier 1 Project Teams and the customer via Transmittals.
  • Releasing authorized documents, media and technical data package revisions, ensuring correct and current data are issued for use.
  • Creation of pdf ready documents for delivery to clients.
  • Printing and formatting the outputs required for Physical Configuration Audits (PCA) typically Drawings and Customized Bill of Materials, collecting Data at PCAs and producing PCA related deliverables, mostly Drawing Packages with tabulation of Revision changes.
  • Assisting in the prevention of unauthorized change through the monitoring of the change management process
  • Supporting the coordinating activities for controlling change to configuration items and baselines ensuring configuration control is applied to established baselines, configuration items and all released engineering data.
  • May include the periodic monitoring of data entered by other OSI staff to ensure compliance with approved processes and procedures and to provide assistance to other OSI staff as required and applicable.
  • Supporting the coordinating the processing of submitted change proposals and approved changes (CNs) to ensure they are properly prioritized and flow through the correct change process workflows based on established criteria.
  • Supporting the creation of and distributing reports in support of project management, process improvement activities, audits, formal reviews and progress meetings.
  • Supporting the EC audit and release process (authorization for release) of all approved changes
  • May support in configuration and quality management audits.
  • Supporting continuous process improvement activities by identifying and driving improvements that will make the change and configuration management process more efficient, reliable, and cost effective

You Bring:


  • University or College graduate, with technical focus is desired
  • Qualified Configuration Management Practitioner CMII or equivalent would be beneficial
  • 2+ years' experience as Configuration Change Analyst.
  • 2+ years' experience in a design through to Production environment.
  • Experience with PDXpert PLM system is a definite asset, equivalent systems experience is a definite asset.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and oral.
  • Sound analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Stakeholder focused.
  • Ability to work in team environment and respond positively to tight deadlines.
  • Proven ability to combine a positive attitude, proactivity, and with flexibility.
  • High levels of attention to detail, with an eye for accuracy is a must.
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite of tools.
