The Client Design and Delivery (CD+D) Coordinator works with the retail clients, ensuring that Cadillac Fairview's design standards are met in operations and development projects, including in
- line retail (interior and exterior), restaurants, food halls, kiosks, large-non-major (LNM) and major retail anchors. The CD+D Coordinator works with many internal and external stakeholders, including leasing, operations and architecture and design teams, ensuring that each client space is an extension of the CF brand experience. This position reports directly to the Manager, Client Design and Delivery.


_What you will deliver:
_


  • Work closely and collaborate with Leasing, Legal, Operations, Development and other CF departments as needed, reviewing and preparing lease documentation and facilitating client buyin during the prelease stage of all client projects.
  • Introduce to clients, through the established Cadillac Fairview design criteria, the level of ambition for retail and food design.
  • Communicate Cadillac Fairview's brand and design strategy to clients, provide guidance and assistance in client's design conceptual phase to better expedite the Landlord's approval process.
  • Prepare project documentation, establish and define deliverables and prepare client drawing submissions /reviews schedule.
  • Partner with the Operations/Property teams and their consultants ensuring that the client design and buildout follows, and is aligned with, the CF properties criteria and standards.
  • Review, comment and approve all client drawing submissions including schematic, preliminary and final construction drawings.
  • Coordinate the consultant reviews and approval of all tenant drawings (eg: architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural).
  • Work closely with the client's consultant team and contractor throughout the various stages of the projects from concept development through to construction completion and including deficiency reviews and reporting.
  • Participate in each property's "Client Tracking Meeting" (CTM) to communicate and coordinate project information to all internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in onsite visits to monitor client construction sites, including the initiation of the construction through to completion and deficiency reviews, with the property Operations Manager to ensure the build out is aligned with the approved design concept and plans.
  • Create, maintain and communicate various internal tracking reports and plans to monitor ongoing projects.
  • Actively participate in the preparation of documentation relating to client and landlord obligations and scopes of work from Schedule C's (work letters) through to client acceptance / signoff of both parties.
  • Provide ongoing support and act as on site resource to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage client recoverables and provide tracking and reports to Finance lead (on development projects only),
  • Promote collaboration and communication with internal and external clients.

_What you need to succeed:
_


  • An undergraduate degree in a 3 or 4 year postsecondary Interior Design/ Architecture Program or other postsecondary education with professional degree from an accredited School of Interior Design/ Architecture
  • 3 to 4 years' of work experience in Interior Design, Architecture or Project Management with a retail and food/restaurant focus,
  • ARIDO intern or greater, OAA intern or greater (or equivalent)
  • The ability to read and understand comprehensive and fully developed construction drawing sets (i

e:
architectural mechanical and electrical plans) and possess a solid knowledge of construction detailing

  • Knowledge of the following programs: Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator), AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), PowerPoint and Sketch-Up
  • Basic project management skills and knowledge in National Building Codes
  • Experience with construction sites and ability to address on site construction issues
