Ready to Make an impact?:

Reporting to the Manager Convenience and Fuel Marketing, the Marketing Specialist will be responsible for developing, communicating, and executing the marketing campaigns both in-store and out of store for the our Convenience & Fuel Brands with a focus in Atlantic Canada.

This is a 5 month contract that may lead to permanent.

Here's where you'll be focusing:

Brand marketing and retail experience preferred
Strategic thinker with the ability to sell ideas internally throughout the organization as well as externally with third parties.
Expert project management skills of the various web and social media platforms, supporting the commercial development of the marketing programs of the various marketing departments, and ensuring compliance with the various commercial and promotional activities of each banner.

More specifically, they will be responsible for:

Management of all marketing activations for Convenience and Fuel in Atlantic Canada while respecting budgets and deadlines
Social Media and Web management
Oversight and execution of EDLP (Every Day Low Price) Marketing activation
Store support (ongoing)
Campaign banner lead for Summer, Holiday, Community Investment, Contest, Sponsorships and Commercial Programs
Loyalty planning in close collaboration with Loyalty Marketing team
News Bulletin communications
Local Store Marketing programs (such as store opening, store support for challenged stores)
Collaboration with Merchandising and Operations teams
Collect results and perform postmortems on completed projects
Develop and follow up on weekly sales and promotional activities for the various banners
Present projects at various inhouse and instore forums

What you have to offer:

You have a bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing option, combined with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience (any other combination deemed equivalent will be considered)
Brand marketing and retail experience preferred
Strategic thinker with the ability to sell ideas internally throughout the organization as well as externally with third parties.
Ability to build partnerships, set and manage priorities, and meet deadlines, all within a multitasking environment
Expert project management skills
Digital and social savvy
Ability to be Innovative and creative
Ability to adapt to fast paced and changing retail environment
