Role Definition:


We are currently seeking Boring Mill Operator(s) to join the team at our Wheelshop in Hamilton Ontario, responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC or manual boring mills.


Responsibilities:


  • Set up and operate CNC or manual boring mills to produce precise parts according to specifications.
  • Interpret blueprints and work orders to determine machining processes.
  • Conduct quality checks using precision tools to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform machine maintenance and adhere to safety protocols

Qualifications:


  • Highschool Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous CNC milling machine operator experience
  • Proficiency with precision tools: micrometer reading within.001, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to document and record information as well as transfer information for precise settings of boring mill.
  • Crane experience an asset
  • Ability to perform physical activities that require full body mobility, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping and standing for an extended period.
  • Ability to lift 50 lb in a safe manner.

Compensation & Benefits:


  • Schedule: Shift work (currently two shift operation days 7am3pm and afternoons 3pm to 11pm rotating weekly), overtime and weekends as required. *Shift Premium for afternoon shift.
