    UNDERWRITING DIRECTOR, EASTERN REGIONMISSISSAUGA, ON – FULL TIME – HYBRIDPosition ID# THE EMPLOYERServing Canadian businesses for 100 years, the hiring firm has a reputation for being one of Canada's LEADING commercial insurance providersCompetitive salaries that also support your financial health through employee share purchase plan, pension plans, RRSP, & discounts on staff insuranceHybrid work You get to work from the office and at home 50/50 THE POSITIONResponsible for directing all activities ensuring that the group is operating at maximum efficiency, productivity, and profitabilityUnderstand and apply best business practices towards compliance, internal control and operational risk controls in accordance to national standards and regulatory standards and policies.

    Provide effective daily leadership, coaching and motivation of staff to ensure service and quality objectives are met.

    MUST HAVESMinimum 10 years' experience in the property and casualty industryMinimum 5 years leadership experienceCompletion of the CIP and/or FCIP designationSound knowledge and understanding of underwriting discipline and pricing models.
