Academy of Learning Career College (AOLCC)


Academy of Learning Career College is responsible for providing a welcoming environment in which adult learners may engage in independent learning activities.

It's like taking an online course, but while having access to one-on-one support from a Learning Coach.

Shift time: Monday to Friday between 10:00 am to 10:00pm / weekends 9:30 to 6:00 pm_

The Learning Coach will be required to visit our downtown campus once or twice a week as per business requirements._


Responsibilities

  • Providing guidance to adult learners as they progress through selfdirected courses
  • Becoming familiar with the courses yourself you are not an instructor, but you must gain an understanding of course content in order to assist learners through the content
  • Performing administrative duties, such as ordering materials, entering student data, generating reports, welcoming visitors, answering telephones, corresponding with various parties, monitoring student attendance, and handling student records
  • Creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere for learners
  • Distributing Practical Exams as required
  • Set up and Proctor exams
  • Coaching adult learners on exam preparation and good study habits
  • Preparing soontobe graduates for the realities of reentering the workforce once they complete their studies

Qualifications

  • A University Degree or College Diploma from a recognized Canadian institution (international qualifications may be considered equivalent)
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Willingness to learn and quickly acquire the Academy of Learning Facilitator Certification by successfully completing all required exams within a specified timeframe
  • Passion for education

The following qualifications will be considered an asset:

  • Experience working with adults in an educational environment
  • Experience working in a Private Career College or other education environment, preferably as a teaching assistant or facilitator

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$16.00-$17.00 per hour
