Service Technician - Port Coquitlam, Canada - National Energy Equipment

We currently have openings in our Port Coquitlam branch for Service Technicians to perform skilled tasks in the mechanical and electrical repair of retail and commercial fueling equipment.

Job Duties:
- Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain customers mechanical, hydraulic, and electronic equipment in both reactive and preventative capacities
- Use of tools such as pressure gauges and multimeters to troubleshoot complex equipment problems on a daily basis
- Complete detailed electronic work orders and task specific safety documentation according to customer and company requirements
- Calibration of meter systems
- Maintain a clean driving record and produce a drivers abstract upon request
- Meet scheduling and oncall requirements
- Accountable for maintaining service part inventory for assigned position
- Ensure proper maintenance of assigned company tools and vehicles
- Provide technical training to customers to ensure proper operation and understanding of equipment
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations, and compliances
- Take part in all required training
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively to provide seamless customer service
- Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques
- Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor to facilitate prompt correction or reporting
- Other duties as assigned by the Service Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude toward safety and working in a team environment
- Strong aptitude for electronic, electrical, mechanical, and computer systems
- Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills
- Experience and good understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Must be able to work in a demanding environment and enjoy learning new concepts and products
- Strong customer service skills
- First aid and WHMIS training is an asset
- Formal training and experience in electrical, controls, or mechanic is an asset
- Pipe fitting experience is an asset
